Power steering box no pump.

Can I run a power steering box with no pump? How will it act what lube due I put in it ?I know I have to plug the line nipples .Any other info or input would be appreciated!
It's all I can find here close to me the pump is gone so I figure I'll maybe find that later.My truck now is a 16V 5spd 2dr 31"mud terrains manual steering.

Technically you can loop your power steering lines so it just goes back into the box.  That will allow you to run without a pump.  One problem you might run into is that most power steering pumps have a lot lower gearing then manual ones.  With the power assist it doesn't matter, but with manual you may have issues steering.
