Source for cheaper tires?
« on: March 21, 2010, 04:54:32 PM »
Didn't someone here have a source for retread off-road tires? A set of new tires for my Tracker is almost half of what I bought the vehicle for!  :o

Treadwright.com.  I used them for my previous Tracker.  They were great offroad.  Tread life was good.  They were noisy as heck on road.  I loved them.  Cost 5 years ago was $260 for a set shipped.

If I pull the trigger on tires, that's where I'm getting them from. I am dropping some money on bearings, brakes, oil pan and rust repair right now. I'll have to see how much is left in the slush fund after that. I WANT THOSE TIRES!

I'm thinking about buying a set of those re-treads (235/75/15), do you have a picture of your truck that isn't so close up?  curious to see how they look on the truck.  How much lift do you have?
