I found it in the 2007 zukfari archives. Maybe some one will chime in that was there that year. I think as long as your drive train is tough enough you can build a simple little buggy on 33"s that has a low center of gravity.

That looks like a stock samurai with the body removed and a roll cage in place.
Seems like if you make it that light weight a stock drivetrain would be plenty strong enough especially with stock horsepower and moderate size wheels (31"-33").

Calmini 5" RS lift kit.  31" BFG Mud Tires.  GRSII 4.89:1 Low Range transfercase. Lockright locker in rear.  Custom front bumper & Rock sliders.  HD Clutch.  Header w/2" exhaust. Rebuilt front end with cups.  Daily Driver!!

it cant be a stock samauri, the frame is cut off right behind the rear wheels, a samauri would have spring mounts back there. im gonna say it's a sidekick with the body removed.

I know I saw that buggy b4....I dont know anything about it but I have it saved with pics of the "Orange rig."

I found it here, in the archive, under Zukfari 2008. Took me a while to remember where I found it....

Right click view image for the option to zoom-in more.....Its definitely a chopped up side kick. Looks like they left the floor pans and some interior then tubed the rest. Would be a nice budget buggy.
Difficult takes a day. Impossible takes a week.

That's a chopped Sidekick that a local guy from Moab built with his kid who is driving it in those pictures. His name is John and he was doing a guided Unimog tour as a business in Moab last time I knew... Not sure if he's still there or not.
