AMERICAN SUZUKI SPONSORS SUZUKI ROCK 'N' ROLL MARATHON FOR THE SEVENTH YEAR
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (June 2, 2004) - For the seventh year in a row, American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) is proud to be the title sponsor of the Suzuki Rock 'N' Roll Marathon held in San Diego. The Marathon's prize package totals more than a quarter of a million dollars in cash and prizes, including a right-sized Suzuki sport-utility vehicle, a stylish sedan, cruiser motorcycles, outboard motors and ATVs. In addition, American Suzuki is supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team-in-Training fundraising efforts to top the $100,000,000-mark by donating an Intruder Volusia 800 motorcycle to a top fundraiser -- and for the fourth year, is sponsoring its own team of Team-in-Training runners.
Runners from around the world, along with the thousands of spectators and broadcast viewers, will see and experience the racing excitement associated with the Suzuki brand.

Marathon participants will race along a 26.2-mile course for the Suzuki-based prize package. The fastest five male and female runners across the finish line will be awarded the following prizes:
First place - each will receive a Suzuki XL-7 SUV; an Intruder Volusia 800 cruiser, Suzuki's best-selling cruiser motorcycle; a Suzuki DF40, one of the world's most refined outboard motors; and finally, a brand new Suzuki Vinson QuadRunner all-terrain vehicle;
Second place - each will take home the versatile Suzuki Verona midsize sedan;
Third place - each will cruise home on a Suzuki Intruder Volusia motorcycle;
Fourth place - each will adventure off-road in style on their new Vinson QuadRunner all-terrain vehicle;
Fifth place - each will take home a fuel-injected Suzuki DF40 Outboard Motor.
As the name implies, Suzuki Rock 'N' Roll Marathon runners will be treated to bands playing along every mile of the course. Bands will also provide entertainment prior to the race, and at the finish line village and a post-race concert featuring the band Live - one of the hottest music groups of the 90s.
