I put a converter test pipe in & that made no difference but I have moved the timing & it runs a little better  but ...I think the biggest thing I did was adjust the trans cable  its drivable now   but not like a friends rig w/ same engine? trans  combo

Do you have the 2 separate converters?  If yes, which one did you put the test pipe in?

Any insight on how you adjusted the trans cable?

I AM going to read over the FSM ffor how to adjust the linkage.

Well I put the hammer down on it today and got a CEL again.

0400 and 0402

Both point to EGR flow restrictions.  I'm going to try to tear into it when it's a bit warmer.

TV cable adjustment.  loosen both nuts on tv bracket, hold accelerator pedal to floor, distance between tip end of cable and end of boot = .031 - .059".  pull cable until tight and tighten locknut, double check measurement
