XL7 Transfer Case Skid Plate ?....
« on: June 07, 2011, 03:18:22 AM »
Has anybody got a link to some photo's of how others have built skid plates for the XL7 transfer case?

I figure there are two options, add a custom cross member across the frame, behind the transfer case (like the Vitara) or build a truss back from the transfer case mount to the rear cross member that supports the drive shaft steady bearing.

Ideas?

I built the skid pans on my 93 Tracker, same idea for your XL7.  (I am using XL7 motor & tranny/tc.)  The skid pan  Is on page 9.
