Poison Spyder Customs for Suzuki
« on: May 20, 2004, 05:59:46 AM »
Just like the title says would you put their gear and armor on your Samurai?I have recently spoke with Karl at spyder customs about doing a line of armor for the samurai enthusiast they informed me they are focused on the "JEEP" Well after about a half hour of bending  his ear and explaining that there is no other company out there offering armor for the ZUK!like this. I think Karl saw the light cause he said i would not see it in the 2004 line up...But to give him a call in about three months and put that bug in his ear again, now is there anyone in the  Glenndale,Colorado area because they do not have access to one for measurement purposes so if you do and you own a samurai let me know Thanx

Hey guys,

I bought a set of Rocker Panels from shrockworks for my 88 zuk and I love them. Shrockworks was great to do business with and these things are awesome and I cant wait to get more products from them. I would like to see a full roll cage from them similiar to the one that spyder offers for there jeeps.

Do you think that Poison Spider Customs would really sell enough of these to make it worth their time? There is a reason why zuk vendors are starving.... ::) Zuk owners are kinda cheap.  :-[ There is a reason why aftermarket companys ALL build for jeep and a handfull build for zuk. Id rather you talked to the currect vendors we have and support the people who already went out on a limb for us.

Vendors make Jeep stuff because there are TONS of Jeeps on the roads and in the trails.  I don't think it has anything to do with Suzuki owners being cheap.  Supply and demand is the name of the game.  There are way more Jeeps out there than Suzukis.  That's the bottom line!  Are you cheap Mike?  By the looks of your truck I would say not.  By the looks of a lot of the vehicles on this site I would say these people aren't cheap either.  I think Suzuki owners get a bad wrap about the cheap thing.

That too! Not all zuk owners are cheap. But most are. Obviosly Im not and several others hear are not either. Everytime a new product hits the market for zuks you get several posts about how its priced too high. When in reality if you compare the same product in the Jeep lineup its usually almost half price. Case in point... Calmini has new rear axle shafts comming out soon for the trackick. They are like $129 or something like that. Every post was saying that was too much money. Call Curry and see what they want for a set of rear axles.  I wish it wasnt true cause mabey we would see more aftermarket. However, I actually think that Zuk owners are becoming more liberal with their cash than they used to be.

EXACTLY! Just cause we can't afford it right now doesn't mean it's not a fair price... However I do kinda think that in general, coil spacers and body lift kits are way overpriced no matter what vehicle they're for mainly because of what they contain (basically hockey pucks with holes drilled through them, in varying thicknesses)...
Had a cool sig pic till I changed the text... sigh...

I agree here with Matty, I don't mind paying a fair price for zuk parts if it is what I need and works as advertised.  If I don't have the $$$ for the part I think is best for me, I wait and get it when I can.  As far as the crusher corners go, if more than one supplier, great for me the consumer!  I have a choice no and the one I feel works best for me wins.

That being said,  I also agree w/ Mike, the guys who've pioneered and continue to provide the Zuk aftermarket with inovative parts and services ALWAYS get my attention first.  ;)
