What thermostat temp. do you guys recommend for a stock 1.3l ? I'm finding 195 and 180deg. to be OEM spec, just not sure when one was used instead of another.

I use a 180 on my Sammie's.

In the Midwest (alt 1200 ft) I used a 180 and cruised no higher than 3300 rpm.
In the mountains (alt 9000 ft) I use a 160 and cruise no higher than 4200 rpm.
Has anyone seen a thermostat around 165, 170? I'm gonna have to cardboard my radiator soon, heh.

Funny thing about the cardboard the first one I DId on my Sammie I cut the hole out in the center, it would over heat while wheeling slow or in deep snow because the hole was in front of the fan clutch and would not draw air at low rpm's, so I had to make a new hole over more to one side where the fan blades are.
