Ok guys, been reading this bbs for a few weeks now and finally decided to join.  I had/have an 87 sammi that was recently rolled at Tellico and totalled the body.  I have since come across a 94 Tracker 2wd for free-if I do an engine swap for a guy.  So, I do the swap and now have a 94 efi Tracker.  I already have a fresh 1.6 carbed from the sammi, so I am thinking creative.  The sammi is awesome with the suspension mods, t-case, gears and lockers, and 4 wheel disc brakes.  Now, with that background, I am considering putting the whole drivetrain minus the transmission out of the sammi and into the tracker.  I am running 33-12.5 tires w/ 1" wheel spacers on the sammi.  Am I crazy for trying, or should I just put another sammi body on my capable frame?

I see two options either convert the 2wd tracker to 4wd using tracker parts (Front end goodies, transmission, and t-case). OR find a Samurai body to put on your Samurai frame. Personally, I wouldn't hybrid the two.

No matter which way you go, I'd suggest using the fuel injection off instead of the carb. You'll be happy with that decision.

eric sounds like a smart guy. the sammi axles will be to narrow anyway.
