Your right, that is my yellow tracker in the pic. I have to agree with you on the IFS thing, I'm having too much fun tweaking my rig and playing around with the ifs to make it work better. VIVA IFS ;D ;D

Reo charges $3000 for the lift using rear leaf springs from a samurai up front with a samurai front axel, and 2" wheel spacers on each side. I don't know why that could be considered a better option than staying with the Calmini lift, I mean the samurai front axle is now you new weak point. I don't want to slam this lift but it just doesn't make sence going leaf springs up front and coils in the rear.

He wants $4000 to do Toyota axles, and another two grand or so to do coils, it keeps adding up. It would cost me $1000 to put in the Calmini anvil in, and best of all I can do mods to my rig without having to pay someone else to do it for me, I feel it's more rewarding that way.

PS: I did my lift with new ties, and wheels for $3400 with tax, and judging from the way Mike Hagen wheels his, I shouldn't have any problems with my IFS.

Sorry for preaching, but I don't get why everyone in Vancouver thinks SAS is the only way to go.

I agree with you 100%

It's like a freaken pissing contest on the BC4x4 boards about SAS .vs. IFS

Sure SAS flexes more, but when does flex become too much?

I agree with Mike when he said that he would rather have a stable truck than a flopper.

To each his own I guess.

Oh ya, welcome to the boards dude  ;D

My only point is Trackick IFS is just as valid as SAS. To each his own.

On the IFS thing, I agree.. its more of a challenge to make it work anyway! Mine has a 3 inch lift all round and does quite ok. I have just fitted some 24.8 " (extended length) shocks in the rear and the springs are only just loose at full droop.. Sure does make it articulate well !

Took ya long enough, I left that note on yer window a while back. Welcome to ZukiWorld. Nice axle conversion. Looks wicked. There is another solid axle in Cloverdale by the track, a white one.
See ya round the "depot"

I've thinking of going SAS. Spoted a  85 Yota for only 500 bucks. Going to check it out Sunday ???
Who Knows After Watching Heathers build up I my look for a 4dr for the SAS ;D Maybe, Maybe not We'll see. From what I've heard Yota axle gearing doesn't go up to 5:83s, Only 5:13. Any more info on those?

if i hadn't lifted the frame in my tracker this winter then i would be doing a SAS with D44's next winter.  still might, we'll have to see how well it prefoms(sp)   the way i look at it, eather the frame and gas tank have been holding it up in the mud so it wouldn't sink or  they where slowing me down so i could get through the really sicky stuff.  i dunno, wel'l find out in just a few weeks!!!
