i have seen them mounted in those old army bullet contaners.  just knoch(sp) the lid a bit then seal it up.

Yep, But it can't live long term sealed.  Seal it up for a wet ride and pull the top when the ride is over.  But the heating and cooling of the computer will cause the air to condense and water / moisture will form causing corrosion. But it's gotta be better than taking a swim...

i'm sure the water will be coming in over the back tailgate on a high point.  but its not long so i most likely will make it.

i'll have to take a pic of it.  its the slickest peace of my truck.  it took about 2 hours and ZERO money.  i used the stock air rammer thing all cut up and routed into the cab.

cant u just extend the wires for the computer so it sits inside the dash on the firewall up high?? or is that stupid?? sometimes i think like that =) lol

Take it to a radio repair shop and ask them to spray it with conformal coating. It'll protect the inside if you drown it. They shouldn't charge you a lot for the job.
