I've got a 87 Samurai with .030 flat top pistons with a 1.6 head with a high speed cam from Low Range Off Road, Webber carb and tri y header. I'm trying to get the most power I can and with the 1.6 head and high speed cam it runs great out on open road but i put my 1.3 head with stock cam on it and it seemed to run better. Where I live there's alot of hills and I'm thinking the stock cam gave me more torque to pull the hills with, does anyone have an idea what happens if I put the stock cam in the bigger valved head, would i get the best of both worlds, torque back with a better flowing head? I'm off work due to an injury and have time to play around with the heads didn't know if someone else had tried this or not and was wanting to get some opinions.
