  • Too many Samurais, too many little boys!
Some of the concepts look interesting and are along the lines of a Fiat 500/Mini Cooper or a VW Microbus.  The new Vitara (Escudo) is about as bland as the Jeep Compass.
35 years of Samurai ownership, and I still have my very first one. :)

They look like models that would do well in the Indian marketplace. Would be nice to see the new Jimny.

Not due for production release until 2018 apparently so I doubt that we'll see anything until 2017. That means that the existing model will be replaced on its 20th Birthday!

  • ONWARD... through the fog!
The Might Deck model... I always thought a convertible top on a 4-door Kick, Tracker or Vitara  would be interesting.  Have the convertible top start 6-8" behind the front windshield frame, and between the top body seams, all the way back to a foot or so before the back door seam.  Maybe a cross brace or two between the front and back doors to retain some rigidity in the event of a roll over.  It would be slightly more secure than a rag top, but you could still have the open air feel when you removed it.
'02 Chezuki Tracker with a 2 Liter and 5spd.  It works for me!!!
