My first post!! just went from a Toyota background to a an 88 Sammy,4x4 systems very similer ! so,its a SPOA that had 2"lift blocks,33s, lift shackles total 4"eye to eye. please let me know if im on track. ive already removed lift blocks, going down to a 31x10.50x15 tire and a high steer to make it more on/off road compatable. this is going to be my drive up north, ride the logging trails and just adventure the northwoods wisconsin type vehicle...nothing ridiculous.my questions are, what backspacing on my wheels is ideal so I could stuff a 31" tire on articulation, and what is a soft shock so I can tame the straight axle ride a little on this very light rig!! ive owned a few straight axles so believe me when I say,"i get it" thanx.
sorry about the length!
