The New and Improved Ack's FAQ!
« on: May 01, 2016, 06:22:13 PM »
Yes, it is NEW and IMPROVED!

Page looks are all the same - none of the older looks are scattered throughout the previous version of the site.

Lots of new documents, including a number of Grand Vitara, Jimny and and XL-7 material.

Every content page opens in a new window. This means that you no longer have to re-do a search -simply close the current window and the original research results window appears!

All the pointless pages, "404" pages, duplicate links and junk have been stripped out of the database. Many "404" pages have been replaced by working website pages covering the same topics.

BONUS:  All the ZukiWorld links in the FAQ database have been rebuilt!  No 404 errors!

Check it out: http://www.acksfaq.com

I hope that this helps!

I just got an email from Bex about a problem some of you may be having accessing the New Ack's FAQ:

In order to make sure the upgrade was as seamless as possible, I rebuilt the site on another server and domain then had the acksfaq.com domain point at the new server on Saturday night.

It is possible that the update of the change has not been "instantaneous" so some of you may not get immediate access to Ack's FAQ.

Now that a few day have passed since the change, the domain record  should be updated throughout the Internet.

If you have previously visited Ack's FAQ, you may have discovered that you cannot access the new webpage!  This is because your browser is using it's "History" data to connect to the old Ack's FAQ URL.

The solution is to tell your browser to delete it's history - you know, the steps you need to do to delete all those links to "bad" places like Amazon and eBay...

Deleting the history data removes any trace of where you have been - but it does not affect the bookmarks that you may have created to find you favorite websites.

So, if you can't go to Ack's FAQ, simply delete your browser's history and all will be right with the world!

I hope that this helps!
