Difference between European 1Z and North American 1Z

Does anyone know if there are any spec differences between European 1Z and North America 1z engines? I have found a VW 1.9L TDI 1z engine but it was imported from Germany. I'm going to rebuild it before putting it into my Samurai. Thanks!

I've heard the same except for castings.. Contact ACME adapters for more info.
