Oil Leak
« on: December 27, 2003, 04:20:49 PM »
Well, I got under my Tracker today and the bottom of it is covered in oil....it sucks! It only has 68883 miles on it! I looked at my oil pan its starting to rot Which is really weird. But the spots that are in my driveway wouldnt' be from that because it would just drip onto the skid plate. It looks like it is coming from between the engine and the transmission. Possibly the rear main seal? I hope not cause I don't feel like pulling the tranny. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I had the valve cover leak out the back of the motor and made it look like I had a main leak.

Also could the oil travel down any of the skid plates before it drips onto the ground to make it harder to find??
