7 Month old Grand Vitara 2.0

Hi

Looking for some advice on my new Grand Vitara Manual.

I have had several problems with it, including:

- Interior lights
- Stiff gears (manual and 4WD)
- Major cluth problems
- Heating system going on and off when it feels like it

Has anyone else had similar problems on a new Vitara?

I would be interested to know where you bought it, how long ago, what the dealer did to resolve the problem and what explanation they offered.

Please mail me - i wouldnt want to name and shame any dealer here!

Many thanks

That's pretty strange stuff indeed... It would seem to me that the previous owner treated that vehicle like crap.  I have never known Suzuki vehicles to act strange like that so new in there life span.  My 1991 Sidekick was two years old when I bought it and it NEVER gave me problems for 10 straight years.  And then the only major problems I ever had were replacing the ECM and alternator.

Sorry, I know that doesn't answer any of your questions so I hope someone can help you out

well it sounds like a little dealer service is in order,
and if that don't work, we can transform her into

Well, I've got a 2000 2.0 5 speed, we got it with 36,000 miles on it, I'm up to 41,000 now and we've had no problems with it whatsoever,  I do have a thought about it shifting a little hard, they do have a tendency to grind into second when cold or into 4th from 5th if you're a little too hard on it, I just drive mine easy and it's doing just fine.  Hope you get it sorted out, I"d definitely take it back to the dealer.       Dave ;D
