Does anyone know the size of the XL-7 speakers in the doors?  I want to replace the deck and all 4 speakers with some high out put units.  I'm probably going to install a pair of 6x9s in the back trunk area.  I mean the stock Clarion system sounds really good, but I need some extra push and the added feature of MP3/WMA playback along with my CD-changer.

Has anyone done any audio work on one of these trucks?

I'm not sure of the exact size, but it's less than 10 minutes work to get the door panel off and see for yourself.

2002, I simply don't have anywhere to check for myself for now.

Crutchfield.com shows it being 6.5" in the front and rear doors of a 2002 XL-7.

You can go there and select "outfit my car' and it will tell you unit clearances and speaker sizes after you input your vehicle information.
