Stan or Mike-Calmini A arm mod for Toy cv's
« on: October 16, 2005, 05:55:03 PM »
Hey Guys,

Is there any mod I need to make the Calmini A-arms to run the Toy cv's? Ive got my whole front drivetrain tore out, knuckles clearanced, passengerside stub shaft welded and spacers mounted. I need to do the widening mod then all back together!!!

Yea, you have to trim the front of the arm where the outer Cv boot rubs it. I cant think of how to describe it.......Bill I will go take a pic and e mail it to you in a few minutes. ;)

Yeah, I had to grind about an inch off both arms, to clear the CV's.

Mike you can use windows(if you use windows) Paint tool to resize. once you open it in that go to images tab choose stretch/skew and then in the horizontal and vertical can shrink it how much you need.

bill be sure when you clearance the control arms to have the weight of the vehicle on them . like jacking them up untill it lifts off the jackstand a littlethis should reduce the amount of clearancing. sorry so late with reply late nites in shop building more axle & dual shifter kits & painting a guys rig .   stan
