Ouch, bet you bent a rod and/or cracked a piston. A bent rod makes a nice paperweight. ;D

i dont think it bent a rod . it didnt hydro lock . it just had alot of sandy mud in it . looked kinda like chille . just enuff water to make it runny . ;D i drove it about 10 miles out of the woods to the trailer .

;D Where did you go, Livingston?  ;D I hate to hear you f-ed the motor up. Somebody told me that the machine/engine shop behind Midas on Willow had a guy there that had done a few Kick motors and might be able to help you out (but that's been 5 years ago) I prety sure that an 8V block will work fine with the 16V heads, but I personally have never tried it.

i was up hwy 8 on the spencer side . it looked like a long narrow , shallow water hole right beside the road . actually between a parking lot and a gravel road . i was coming across the lot and eased into it at  a 45 degree angle when the right side hood went completly under . i think i was trying to cross some deep ruts inside the hole . the air intake side never went under but i guess it went deep enough . there was only about 3 inches of water the rest was just muck . my own dumb ass fault . i will have to resort back to my old cherokee until i can get another zuke , soon i hope . ???
