While wheeling in the dunes last summer my friend tried to turn his ZR2 into a submarine. He shot some pictures of me as I crossed a 4' deep "dune pond" in my lifted 2wd van. He figured if I could do it then he certainly could in his slightly lifted ZR2 with 31s. He forgot that my van stands about 7' tall and has a air intake about 60" off the ground. I warned him but he said he could make it. So I shot some pics. Here they are.

Needless to say, he sucked in a few gallons and stalled. I had to tow him out of the dunes to the staging area where we pumped the water out of the engine and exhaust. Fortunately we did get it out and got it started. Ran it a few minutes and then changed the oil. It seemed ok but I was glad it was his and not mine.
