A lot of insurance companies will total a car because the cost of the parts and labor is more than you could buy the exact vehicle for to replace it. The most important (IMO) is whether or not the frame was actually damaged. If it wasn't then you should have any issues, per say.

I agree that the frame is probably the most important thing from a functional point of view.  However, safety issues, such as proper windshield installation, seat belt anchors, and whatever, are more important from a liability point of view.
