The conversion was ...tough... but it was a learning experience. It STILL IS. We're still working on getting it rolling with the new Toy axles.  (Waiting on OTT)

Waiting on OTT?
I thought you already had a T-case done?

Holy crap I was just reading. Is it true sidekick sports have 5.12 gears in them? That is crazy i put 5.13 in my bronco and that is considerd pretty damn low for a v8 rig. What is the normal gear ratio in sidekicks?

That is normal gear ratio ;) 5.12 stock gearing for 5 speed Kicks. Our t-case's and Trans are not as low though.

So techinaly speaking wouldn't regearing the tranmission with lower gears or the t case, and keep the axles stock be stronger. Because the lower the gears go the weaker they get due to small pinon. So instead of regearing axles wouldn't a t case regear be stronger since they already have low gears?

There is no product on the market for re-gearing the high range (which is 1:1) on a Track/Kick.  You can re-gear LOW range, from 1.8:1 down to 4.24:1 - this is GREAT.  But with bigger tires, for better highway performance, regearing the diff's is the only option - so 5.83:1 it is!

Well, You CAN put in 2 transfer cases, and you CAN get a 2-lo for the Sidekick transfer case but it's not like on a sammi, where lowering the lo range also lowers the hi range.  You can put a Sammi tcase behind the Kick - Nate & Heather have 2 tcases, and adapters from OTT.

Has anyone ever put a atlas 2 on a sidekick? I run a 4.1 altas 2 on my bronco and you can pretty much get any hi range or low range you want.  That is some good info though on the transfer case gearing. I keep learning new things about these everyday. Makes me love me sidekick even more. : :)

Isn't that a divorced T-case set up? If so I dont see why you could not fab up something to work :-/ But I have not heard of one in a kick before.

no atlas can work as a divorced or mated. They make adpoters for all kinds of vehicles. I just don't know if they do for suzuki.

Well Thankyou for all the information and advice. I think i have decied which way to go on my suzuki. I know most of you guys will mock me for my decesion. But I am going to put 20 inch rims on and modify the calmini lowering kit to fit my sport. I also talked with regulate in utah about getting a turbo. I'm also going to have the head ported and polished and the blocked bored out. I know this is not the way 99% of you would go but i need something that i can drive 100 miles a day and be comfy and get good fuel mileage. I already have two vehicles for off road. In fact one that is only good off road for it is to tall and get 6mpg. I will post pictures as i go. So while you guys are taking on the jeeps. I'll show the hondas how suzukis do it. let me know what you guys think or if you have any idea?
