Wow... Can o' worms re-opened again.. and again... and again...

If any of you were on the yahoo mail groups of the other freeserver groups might remember there was a tiff a while back when RRO (formally Summit Off-road) posed one question to Calmini in an open forum. Prove your 5" combo lift can acheive 25" of articulation and I'll close my doors... 10 years later RRO is still open and MANY, MANY people were pissed about the false advertising... Then there were numerous claims about refunds, myself included (took 1.5 years to get $30 back), then on to the customer service of a guy who couldn't speak very good english that purchased gears, t-case kit, lift, and two bumpers at once... Was told it would be 3 weeks... After 2 months he asked on the forum if anyone else had the problem... Calmini (steve or somebody) responded they never received the order, yet this guys card was charged, he even uploaded an image of his bill....

For anyone that thinks this is circumstantial... forget about it... This has been covered and covered before... Stick to the real Suzuki Enthusiasts for better service and better products...

PS: Nissan guys are having issues too...

I've really tried to ignore this thread....but I too have an opinion.
I have dealt with Calmini and the service has been average.
I too own my own company specializing in Import car/truck parts. I've also throughly read the threads here and on Pirate.

- The owner of Calmini has the right to run his company
however he see's fit. He has paid for that right.

-  You as the customer have the right to buy your parts
where ever you see fit. If you are not comfortable
with the price/service/attitude go to where you are.

-  No business is owed your loyalty, that must be
  earned.

-  Customer service makes or breaks most companies.

-  No one has the right (in my mind) to be rude to
  another.

-  I appreciate the comments made by all on this thread
and pictures have been painted of all the personalities
you decide on if you wish to deal with the people that
belong to the personalities and live with the results.

In closing I thinks Zukipilot and Natebert set the example when they agreed to disagree and remain friends. This discussion need not do damage, the information is there to make your choices from.

Buy where you are most comfortable and let everyone know where you get good and bad deals. They can make up their own mind from there. Don't jepordize friendships, just agree to disagree.

Verry wise words - i have never done buissnes with calmini but i have delt with enough CS ppl, I have been buying PC parts for 5 years now.

and it is a matter of opinion, who you buy from and why, If you are disgrunteled, inform the "owner" but slandering a buissnes,   I have found that 9 times out of 10, if you have a problembs with the level of service and you go straight to the management. you walk away happy, or at least apreciated.

but if you say whatever thats fine,  and then walk away disgrunteled and take it out in public forums,  chances are your going to get what you dishout. I have also been in managment for over 8 years, and have delt with many disgrunteled people. the establishment wants to apese you, and make amens 9 times out of ten, if they dont  go to the better buissnes beuro, but dont trash them in a forum that probably makes 10 to 25% of there advertisment.

all i want to say is Zag is right,  and there are right ways and wrong ways to deal with buissnes people. i like it when i can still be friends with whoever i deal with,  weather or not i will ever do buisness with them again, thats a diffrent storie. but i dont like burning bridges, eventualy you cant get off of your island.

All,

I apologize to those who were offended by my comments, or by me bringing the "pirate" post over to Zukiworld. I also apologize to those who may now see me in a different light because of my posting on Pirate.

I took a step back and didn't post, listening to each of your opinions. Nathan's posts were pretty much straight in line with my thoughts.

Thanks for all of your time and your ears and your opinions on this topic. I really appreciate them.

For those of you that have any questions about my feelings on the pirate subject, or my thoughts as to why I posted what I did, I'd love to talk to you through email or PM's.

For now,

I'm going to wholly agree with doritos and sun chips, and a group hug.

Let's all go wheeling!

well thats a lot of reading to get throught in one go.
so after reading it all i thought i mine aswell have a say
i have purchased product off calmini the service was good and friendly, shipping, well i didn't really have a problem. (got it to New Zealand in about 6 months by ship, after i sent a cheque by mail). i knew it would take ages.
As for these people who said they had problems installing the 6" combo lift?????  it took me two evenings/late nights by myself, easy as, great product, works great. so i will be purchasing again from them.
as far as the comments go well treat people how you want to be treated, (works for me), and the 'customer is always right', in other words correct them nicely if there wrong, but we have a funny saying in the retail shop i work in, you get one f|removethispart|@*k off card a year, i think a few could have been used on this topic.
well thats 2c.
have fun out wheeling and remember trucks don't swim, especially in salt water!!!!
