RRO has a R&P gear set from US GEAR that says the following

"These gears are also made specifically for the Samurai so no funky install kits are necessary for a proper installation."

I'm assuming that means I and swap out my existing gears with these and don't need diff can or install kit. Is that true, has anyone used these gear sets before?

Bill

Right, so for the aftermarket gear you will not need the diff can to mod the Samurai carrier. But you still would need /would want to do install kits for a good long lasting gear install.

However, I really think that you'd like the t-case mod better. :) ...and remember, in a Samurai the t-case mod has hi-range reduction too. So, it also compensates for your highway drivin' with big tires.
