yeah lost a little mpg

i remember someone around had a drop-in K&N filter

(theres so many people I cant remember who it was)

I do have these questions about the drop-in K&N filter
1. Part Number
2. Cost
3. Power Increase/Decrease
4. Gas Mileage Increase/Decrease

Not sure about the part number, but I can fill in the rest.

2.  Pretty cheap.  I think I picked it up on Ebay for around 40.

3.  Slight increase in power on the freeway, little bit quicker throttle response.  Need to clean mine out again...

4.  No real change in the milage.

I would look at getting a generic synthetic instead and just doing a short ram conversion.  The synthetics can be cleaned with water and don't have the 'must be dirty to work' deal going on with them.  But you can't beat the K&N for ease of install.

AEM has their DRYFLOW filters as well.  I have read some reviews that really like them, but the options are a bit limited right now.

its not a K&N

I just got any filter that matched the size I needed

Ultimately its probably best to replace the rubber tube
(a lot of the trackers I see have cracks in them, which is common)

I'm going to hijack your thread here a bit..

A while back there was a company called rotational dynamics, they made tunable aluminum pulleys and I think a throttle body spacer. Similar to what they offer for 4.0L jeeps. It was just an aluminum block machined to match the intake and you bolted it in under the throttle body. Theory was it increase I believe torque. Anybody heard of anything like this? Or now about the company?

I do recall a thread on this site about that, maybe about a year, year and a half ago.  I recall a lot of opinions stating that throttle body spacers were bunk.  Beats me, though.
