Great idea. It may be a little late for 2009, but hey, I've seen some zooki guys pull some great stuff out at the last minute!

Some things to consider:
* Print-on-demand. This is where you setup an account with a print-on-demand publisher. They give you a web page with your product, and tell you how much it will be to print each calendar. The difference between what they charge, and what you charge is your net gain. As people buy your calendar, they deposit money in your bank, and send off calendars.
* SOMEONE on here has to be a photoshop super stud. They can add vendor's products / logo / whatever to the photo's. Sponsorship = good.

Thing you can do with the "profit":
* Pocket it (it's your idea, and I have nothing against capitalism)
* Use the proceeds to help pay for some zukiworld 4x4 events.
* Donate it to Zukiworld BBS.
* Donate it to our soldiers' families. The donations to help the family of soldiers in need have dropped below 1/2 what it was last year.

And, can we avoid the temptation to do ONLY radical builds? I enjoy a well-done mild build (like some of the 4-door expedition conversions) as much as some of the extreme jobs... but hey - that's just me.

or we can add no profit and get the calenders at cost.   ;D also 4wheelparts.com has this thing you can donate off road lights and other stuff to the troops. read it in off-road adventure

I much prever donating to http://www.armedforcesfoundation.org/index1.html or http://www.militaryblood.dod.mil/. Lucky for blood banks, I'm one step away from being the universal donor (anyone with + blood can take mine). Unfortunately for me, there's only 2 of the 8 blood types that can donate to me  ;D

Delivering the calendars at cost is certainly an option as well. But I wouldn't mind paying an extra $5 or so if the extra $$$ was going to a good cause.

Well as I am sure you all have probably figured out there isn't enough time to get a calendar out for this year, but I have wanted to do one of these for awhile. So we will table it for next year, however if you stumble across good pictures of your vehicle send them in so we have material for next year, I may build something just to have and if I do I will put it up at cost or at a location where we can all order copies.

Thanks
Hutch

i dont know how everyone else feels but i still would buy one if it came out in late January. If you could even see if it could be February to January 09'?

i would even buy one if it was just a scrap book of all the forum members cars with details. looking on the forum is great but when you have a booklet to hang on your shop wall or to show your friends its great.

crap! I thought this topic went to the way side awhile ago. We should start a new thread for 2010 and when it gets closer and a link to the main page so everyone will see it.

You Didn't miss out for 2009. The calendars will still be available throughout the year through the Outlet! store.  http://www.zukiworld.com/catalog/index.php We will most likely have a 2010 version available in the fall of 2009.

Thank you, Eric
