That's cool man, I should have taken a mechanic job.  Maybe it's not to late still.

Maybe you know what my mechanic is talking about?  Does this donut flange remark sound right?  ???

The trick to the high km's is OIL CHANGES. I do one once a month needed or not.

i change my oil every 2000km nedded or not. comes out clean goes in clean. it's the trick to making engines last for many miles. my old 91 turbo sprint had 240000km when i sold it, and it ran as good as new, and never burned a drop of oil. it adds to the cost of maintenance but it's worth it in the long run.

Ok well why would Calmini make the flange on the pipe this way?  I am pretty bummed out this weekend... I've been waiting to put this thing in for a long time now...oh well...a few more days is no big deal.

As for the oil change...If I bought the cheap stuff, then I would definately change it frequently...but since I buy top qaulity product, I think 5K kms should be ok.

It's good to know that some people take care of their cars this good...some people have no clue and it pains me to see their rides suffer.   :-/

2In pipe all the way back with a super trap at the end. Kill's two birds with one stone. It acts as a muffler and a spark arester. And sounds SWEET 8)

No way dude, that's my whole issue, NOISE!! Now I know this is a "turbo" muffler, but it will run a lot nicer and quieter then the raggy stock one

OK, time for my two cent's worth
A turbo muffler is just that, designed
for a turbo system, it's a little louder
because a turbo knocks a lot of noise
out of the exhaust note, in fact I'm thinking
of just running a cat and a straight pipe
out the back on the new exhaust system,
I might put a 3' glasspack on there for a little
more noise reduction, or a turbo muff, not
sure yet, but I do know I'm going to open
up the exhaust system to a big bore, thinking
about 3" system right now.

I have all the back pressure I need from the
turbo, now I need to reduce exhaust pressure
out the back.

anyone ever try a pacesetter header/cat? I see they have high flow 2", 2 1/4", 2 1/2", and 3" cats.  Just wondering if they were quality?

Stay away from Pacesetter...its junk, very cheaply built..hence the cheap prices.
