Jeep Jam 2012
« on: April 10, 2012, 09:31:29 AM »
As some of you know ive been working on a 87 Samurai for the last 8 months.  I have it ready for the jeep jam and after calling they wont allow a Samurai to ride with the jeeps(guess i should have known that) :(  Its all good because the ride is local and on some friends of a friends property.  So the plan is to hit all the trails after the jeeps get done.  After looking over all the rules and prices i come out way ahead....  We can drink cold beers and they cant!!! hahahaha   http://jeepjamboreeusa.com/pdfs/schedules/Cajun-2012-R1.pdf

Ill try and post up some videos of the trails later on....

I just left.  I would have stayed and played with you.  Sorry to have missed you.  Our group left for work,, and not as much fun alone.  We did elephant hill on the 10th.  Best Phone reception has been on the trails
Probably going again next year, if interested.

It must be a Jeep thing cause I sure don't get it.  They have one near us every year at Land Between the Lakes.  The jeeps pay $250 per person!  This covers the $15 per vehicle fee and 6 meals!  I can't figure out what they can be eating that costs that much!!  They don't even close the park for them so we ride the same trails and laugh laugh laugh at them!!

250!!!! That's just nuts. Maybe the extra $ go to the cleaning up and recovery of stuck and broken jeeps.
The usual stuff, and 2nd generation Air to liquid intercooled TURBOCHARGER

Part of that fee is likely to cover insurance for hosting an event, things like that add up fast.  But it looks like you managed to have fun anyway.  I liked the quad chain to pull out the Toy.  :D
