Samurai soft top adaptation
« on: July 19, 2012, 11:27:58 AM »
Hello all...have recently acquired a 95 Samurai soft top, the main bugbear I have though is the fiddly method of lowering or raising the soft top. In particular trying to refit the front anchorage with the screen bonnet stops getting in the way.

I have been wondering if anybody has heard of, or has carried out an adaptation where the front can be anchored from the interior much like the Jeep Wrangler design.

If so could you give me a link?

many thanks, Ray  :)

afaik, all samurai tops attach to the channel you speak of; have yet to see a soft top/bikini/safari attach any other way.

HARD tops typically attach to an interior bracket, however.

Find the front piece of a two piece hard top and run that up front.
