Brake Controller...

I just installed a brake controller on my '01 XL-7... It works great but I am short on ideas of were to mount it as I dont wont to mount it to the molding... any ideas or pictures of rigs with mounted controllers?

depending on the unit mounting it to the BOTTOM of the trim under the steering wheel will work without interference.(smaller units are easier to do this with) others you can mount with double sided tape to the face of the panel and removal is easy enough with some careful peeling and use of cleaners. or if your good you can wire it up into the middle console behind the cover (in the cubby) run the wires in the back side of the cubby and mount it so the door can close over top when not in use. if you need to adjust or manual use it is still close enough for you to use. most of the time it depends on the brake control being mounted, some can be mounted any which way others need to be level for them to accuate properly.

That was basically what I have done is tape for now but was wondering if anybody has done it yet and what it looked like on someone else's rig before I put it in a little more permanently and shortened the extra 3ft of cable I have running in the cab
