I am looking for a tire that will last more than 10,000 miles.   I bought my XL new in 2000 (2001 model) It started with the insides on the front kept wearing out. Suzuki aligned it twice for me both times saying there was no problems with the alignment.  After about a year Suzuki said they had new camber specs and that the wear was due to nose dive during breaking.  So this time I had to pay to have it alligned. Since then I have gone through 2 more sets of tires, the problem I am having now is the centers are wearing out in the rear. I have tried different air pressures with no solution. I was thinking it maybe the tire manufacturer. This is getting expensive! I now have 77000 miles on it have changed the tires 7 times (last time was november) and need tires again to pass inspection.

I had the same problem with my 2002 GV.  Took it to the dealer twice for an alignment didn't help at all.  I ended going to a front end shop and telling them to set the toe "in" as much as possible (within factory specs).  Solved my problem.  I'm currently running Pirelli Scorpions and they show little or no wear after  6K miles.  My stock Suzuki tires (junK) were shot at 25K and I rotated them faithfully every 5K.

When I took my GV in the first time for an alignment the service writer at the dealership said he's seen many GV's coming back with alignment problems.  This was in early 2003.

My 02 was off at the factory.. Had it aligned and rotate the tires every 6000 miles and pressure set at 35 psi. At 16k miles they are hardly 1/2 way worn..

I have heard from a GOOD source(Suzuki inside man) that the front bushings are soft to make the ride smoother... Harder bushings would deflect less and give you better tire wear..

I ended up going with a 225/75/ r16 SUV type tire. It was recommended by the dealer (AKA : Dad   )
