my samurai is factory with carb, after running for few minutes will just idle. will rev up fine until try and take off then just sputters and wont run .

can anyone help

Lots of things could be the gremlin you are chasing ,take your gas cap off and make sure your tank is venting and not starving you're engine of fuel. Could be a fuel line collapsing or a fuel pump issue.  Good luck. c

changed fuel filter and fuel pump with change to issue, seems to me as soon choke goes off when starts running bad

meant to say no change when replaced filter and pump

Sounds like your carb may need a overhaul or replacement. Probably not what you wanted to hear but unless you are somewhat handy at carb rebuilding I would go with a weber replacement as it is easy to install and get right and works great for everyday driving,not as good for serious off roading.  Good luck. c
