So, my brother and i are putting together a 92 track-kick with and 8v and a 3 spd auto with 5.12 R&Ps. we are hoping to have this little guy moving under its own power by Christmas time. As with any build tho we have had a couple problems, and maybe somebody here can be of help.

The cable that runs from the trans. valve-body up to the throttle-body ( i believe this would be the "kick-down" cable, maybe ive got the name wrong ) is shot.

Any body know where i can get another one? The guys here at the local parts store get this glassy eyed distant look whenever i ask for something besides batteries or oil change stuff, they are no help at all.

so thanks for any body who looks at this but as it usually goes i found out what i needed about 5 minutes after i posted this.

so maybe this info will help someone else.

Apparently its called a detent cable, and rockauto.com has it for $22 + shipping.
