I just got another alternator from a friend  and I cant seem to find it online by the numbers I have to figure out the amperage. It is a remanufactured Champion HQ Alternator with the numbers 13-1773HQ and below it 08-30-95-06. can anyone help me find out what amperage this is please?

Did you check with Autozone as was suggested over on the Utah 4x4 forum?  They mentioned it is either a 100 or 140 amp.

I am going to check that this afternoon once my wife comes home to watch our son. I do need a connector too for this, does anyone have a picture of the connector they make for the gm swap? im hopeing its the 140 amp that would be awesome now I just need to get rid of my other three alternators maybe I can trade them for lift stuff or other aftermarket things.

 You can get the plug either from a junked GM, the plugs are on the late 90s' stuff, OR simply go look in the Help isle at a good parts house. I found mine at a Carquest for around $6.

Thats a CS130.  Its not 140 amps.

 While it may only be a CS130, you can get them in 95-100 amp ratings quite reasonably IF you know where to look for them. Yours looks to be an "A" frame mount, where the 2 mount brackets are NOT straight across from each other. This is a VERY common GM design: 4cyl. FWD junk, older S10 trucks, Jeep Cherokee 87-90, things like that. It can also be built up to a 130 amp decently by a good rebuilder shop.

You're looking at the top mount in the pics.  The bottom mounts aren't visible.  The CS130 came on Oldsmobiles, Astro's, etc.  It was more common on GM V6 vehicles.

You're thinking 10si/12si which came on 4 bangers.  Irregardless, alternators can come in many different amperages even though they are the same model number.  It all depends on the vehicle they are going in and the current demand.

Anyways, that's definitely the CS130 4 prong plug.  GL finding that locally.  I had to order it from Checker Auto Parts with a specific part number.  It's around $7 or $8 bucks.

 THIS is a straight across mountear alternator from a 4 cyl:

 
 
 and IS a 12si.

 His is the "A" frame mounting that was common on the serpintine belt, FIXED mount location ( you do not move the alternator to tighten the belt, unlike the older si series ) used in the single/double idler setup for the belt. Flip it up so that we can see the top/front of the alternator as we look at it and you can see the other "ear". The only other spot for a "mount" on it is on the back, up to the left of the plug that he is needing, which can also be found on an insane amount of GM stuff out in the junkyard.

Whatever man, I'm not going to argue with you about it.

FYI, I HAVE the CS130 so I think I know what the mounts look like, and its EXACTLY like a 12si.  I'm even using a 12si bracket.

im not going to feed the fire man and take more pics for you guys but I appreciate all the help provided. I have the mount from lowrange and I am going to try and mount it this weekend if I can find the plug.
