Hey Simon, don't forget they are smaller gallons too :( I get around 25 to a full size imperial gallon.

I drive a lot from Asheville, NC to Clayton, NC. It is about 280 miles. I make it there with 10 gallons driving at 75-80 MPH. That is 28 MPG.

Divide miles by gallons or
Km by L .
160 miles in a 2 door
or 4 door?, 4 door has bigger
tank, I always got 20-22 MPG
89 8V 1.6L 2 door Conv Stock.
now with 31" and stock gears
turbocharged I get 180 miles/tank
about 18 MPG.

You must specify what vehicle you
got, engine type and tire size/gearing
or the numbers don't mean squat.

Unless they fit the Tracker with a bigger
tank, you are about 23 or 24 best guess.
run it to the E, fill it up and divide miles
by the gallons you put in, Wala  MPG!!

4 doors might be nice, but when the going gets
tight, I'm glad I'm 2 feet shorter, the turning
radius is still kind of bad with 33"s on it.

need more room, build a small hauler trailer
for the gear and spares, might even be able
to pull a pop-up camper with an extension on
the front for all your junk to ride in .
:D

We were running;
31 inch tires.  (now 33s)
5.83 gears
1.6L 16v
4 door
K&N air filter
2 inch exhaust (no header)
high-flow catalytic converter
flowmaster muffler
3 inch body lift
3+ inch custom suspension lift
~500lbs extra gear bolted to truck.  (bumper, stereo box, etc)
Roof rack (extra wind resistance)

We are getting about;
~18-20 mpg highway
~16-18 mpg city

I feel that this is about right with all of the modifications.  NONE of which help m.p.g.

Hope this helps.

Since its illegal to replace a working cat.  I just asked my local muffler shop to inspect my 'severely damaged' stock catalytic converter.  They didn't hesitate to replace it with my supplied DynoMax high flow cat.

It was about ~$90 from discount converter dot com

And just remember that big rocks are awfully rough on Cats so if you need to make it happen to facilitate a replacement that's always an option.  Heck I bet a big rock on a floor jack in your driveway would do the trick even if you accidentally missed the framerail and jacked the rock into the cat.  But of course that would be illegal so whatever you do, don't do that.  ;D
