« on: March 24, 2009, 09:45:00 PM »
I have no know idea if this will work but can a fuel pump from a trackick go into a fuel injected sami.?
If not does anyone know of a cheaper fuel pump for a sami then the $200.00 one from autozone.

Have you tried the junk yards yet. When I did my 1.616V swap on my samurai I paid 40 bucks for a complete tank/with pump from a tracker.

MCS.. I have a 1.616v in my Sammy. I installed a frame mounted fuel pump. You said your is fuel injected.. right?. Just make sure you use a pump with the appropriate amount of PSI.The part # through Summit was CRT-P5000. If you go this route make sure you use a fuel filter that is designed for fuel injection. I have one of the metal in line filters between the tank and pump. I made the mistake of using a stock filter for a 1.3 and it came apart on me. Also check your return line in the area above the passenger-side rear tire. If you converted motors there is an in line check valve that needs to be removed. Hope this helps.. sorry about the delay in writting back.. Good Luck

why does that check valve have to be removed?
