M reg with injectors, I assume thats a 1994 with a 16V engine? Have you got a Check Engine Light showing? If not then start by checking the woodruff key that holds the bottom pulley in place. Then pull the spark plugs (you've replaced them right?) and check the colour of them.

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES GUYS AN YES ITS A 1994 MODEL AN 16 VALVE AND I HAVE REPLACED THE FUEL FILTER I THINK WELL IVE REPLACED A FILTER WHICH WAS GIVING ME A PETROL LEAK AND THE BANGIN NOISE ISNT FROM THE ENGINE IT COMES OUT THE EXHAUST LIKE ITS STRUGGLING YOU WOULD HAVE TO HEAR IT TO UNDERSTAND ITS WEIRD IVE ONLY HAD IT 6MNTHS AN I LOVE IT SO AM VERY DISSAPOINTED THAT I CANT FIND OUT WHATS WRONG WITH IT SO WILL TRY OUT YOUR SUGGESTIONS AN WILL LET YOU KNOW THANKS FOR SUGGESTIONS BYE FOR NOW

have you checked the air filter or if theres any obstruction in the plumbing anywhere that could cause all of that not getting air

Pull your timing cover off and check your timing marks. See if they still are able to line up. If not, you need to replace your crank gear and possibly have your crank repaired. That would cause all of the above...
