Rant begins:

$*&)#”#”#/+**$$ this clutch has been making me crazy! Let me begin by saying auto parts houses are a gosh darn joke.  We already know that but geez, a clutch parts on a Chevy tracker is a no brained right?  Wrong.  The shift fork lever thing was broken. Thats what was causing my disengage problems.  So, get a new one?  No.  Nobody has one.  Local l,ace says they can get it in 2 hours from the warehouses.  Okay.  Show up, wrong part.  So, left with no recourse I decide to FrankenWeld it back up.  So, that’s fine I guess, not ideal.  Then on to install. Pressure plate and disc goes in no problem.  Throw out bearing from kit is clearly wrong. Now, I call every auto part places which in my area is about 5 different major chain stores.  4 won’t cant even get it, one say they can order it in again 2 hours.  So I say okay.  Wrong.  Now I’m looking at my lathe and wondering if I can bore it out.  So back to main warehouse Napa and I make them get me a v6 grand vitara clutch kit to look at the throw out bearing.  Success!  Same part.  But, only sold in the kit.  So, I paid 135$ for a throw out bearing and I now have a spare v6 friction set.  I need to stop getting my auto parts on eBay.  Sigh.

Rant over.  Long story short, don’t trust any part numbers for these rigs.  The parts houses seem to think they are something else.

Enormous transmission is slowly migrating back into position but wow.  It’s nearly the same size as my f350 diesel tranny!  Without a lift and proper tools it makes it very time consuming.

Has anyone else noticed this part number problem on these?

Man I’ve had a lot of clutch issues in my life.  Gah.

So, the tracker is having trouble disengaging all the way.  I purchased new master and slave cylinders.  I tore down master cylinder and inspected it.  Bled and reverse bled several times.  Still drags.

Is it new clutch time?  I know the fingers can get weird when the wear, but it seems like it would still disengage.  I’m at my wits end.
