Nice looking bumper!
Did you find a 4dr to test it on?
Mine is at the transmission shop getting a once-over and having the fluid replaced. Too bad vacation is almost over...
BTW, when taking the front apart on the '93 kick, the bumper looked like it bolted pretty much like my '96 Tracker although the trim fit might be a bit different from the '93. Maybe.
"Hello. My name is Ack and I disassemble TracKicks...."
"Hello Ack" ::)

Details on lift size and those sliders. :D

The Guys at Shrock should be proud...

We are scrambling to get this rig and aother ready to leave in the AM for a wheeling trip. I'll post more Monday, but here a re few quick details:
- 96 Tracker, Auto, 16V
- 32x11.50 BFG MT KO
- 15x8, 2.75 in. BS Wheels
- 2in Sky Body lift
- 2in suspension lift. Springs and OME shocks and struts. Rear is too high and closer to 3 in. Will lower it 1in later.
- Fender cutting and a little footwell massage
- 5.13 Diffs
- Spool rear
- Front diff / axles are stock, other than a beefed up front pinion support, for now....until I decide what direction to go for beef and a locker.
- TrailTough 4:1 tcase gears
- Our new winch bumper
- Our new sliders. These bolt on with a super strong, no drilling mounting setup.
- Both with paint that turned out a little more bling than I intended. ;D
-
Head-on shot:

"O"GOD, Just sweet looking.
Can't wait to get my Bumper ;D
And sliders ;) ;D
That is such a bad tease ;D
-
It looks good. You should try and get some armour underneath it before you do any hard wheeling. The gearbox/tcase crossmember is very vulnerable.
-
Great job on the kick. It looks AWESOME 8) Let us know how it does this weekend.

PS dont forget to re attach whatever that is hanging underneath it (see head on pic)

when do you plan on having the sliders ready for sale?

Thanks guys. I was really excited how it looked when we got done, then I went and wheeled the thing. I felt like I was wheeling a Lexus. It was kinda strange at first. A/C in 97 deg August is sweet though. I was VERY impressed with how it performed. Especially with no front locker. I went 98% of the places a TJ on 35's with a front locker went. Some of the onlookers were flat dumbfounded.
One guy with a big ass ford truck on 39 swampers bounced around trying to get up a pretty nasty obstacle and broke. We made it look pretty easy, and his wife kept saying over and over and over (with an East Texas Twaaang) "It's a Traaaaaacker!" "He made it easy in a Traaaacker!" Her husband was not amused. We were trying hard not to laugh.  ;D ;D
So much for IFS sucks in my book now. It may not be ideal, but it sure doesnt suck! I've also been driving it everyday to/from the shop since I got back. I'm really digging this thing!
I have a lot more observations, questions and pics I'll disperse in some new posts.

THANKS! It really kicked ass out there.

I did, but it ended up getting ripped off and wadded up anyway. ;D  It was some flimsy splash guard looking thing.

;D So a Traaaaacker has converted another one ;D The cool part is it only gets better from here 8) With your resources and fabricating skills I cant wait to see what you come up with when you realy start to build the crap out of one :o 8) (and when you do you will realize that a HUGE benefit to the IFS is having a very capable trail rig that you can still drive across the counrty on the interstate at 70-75 while sipping on some java)
Great to hear it performed well and you had a good time on your first outing.

PS- Good looking sliders 8)

so this means alot more stuff right Jim? ;D :P

How long before we can plan on the rear bumper?
-
great looking Bumper. I'd love to see some longer 4-door sliders, but I know the customer base for that is smaller.

but more in need :) ... 4dr's have a crappy breakover that those sliders would at least provide protection ;D
-
if you build it, they will buy.
4-doors really need it. I'm holding off on goin wheelin out here until i get something on the rockers. Come on Jim, get a fo' do' in there so you can start building and we can start buying.
-
will the bumper bolt up to a 99+ tracker? ;D
-
how many pounds your bumper ?
-
BTT for SNAFU
Zig
-
Yaa!
Can't wait to get mine and maybe throw some sliders on the same pallet ;) ;D
-
Got Mine Wednesday ;D
Very well built
Hope to try it on the 4dr by mid week (7th or so).
It weighs in just under 100lbs..
-
i like the sliders, and i'm interested in getting a pair but i'll wait t see the rear bumper cause i want one also. i hope the rear bumper can have a swing away tire carrier, and mount to a rig with no body lift.
