Engine problem on my tow vehicle
« on: August 13, 2006, 12:16:24 PM »
Not suzuki related but the vehicle I will use to tow my kick to the trail has a little problem. It is a chevy tracker (conversion van) 1993.when I give it gas it just sputters and will bareley getup to 30mph. Sounds slightly better when it is in park and I rev it but not much better. Up hill it even slower. Idle is fine cant tell anything is wrong. Anyone have any ideas. Where should I start. Tanks for any help in advanced. I know my suzukis in and out but not the chevrolet............

sounds like a fuel problem or a cloged cat. or tps(throttle position sensor) or maf(mass airflow sensor). no check engine light????? check your codes. it should point you in the right derection.

Bad MAP will do this too, make sure the vacuum
line is attached to it , mine came off, was driving
me crazy, replaced the fuel filter and it didn't help,
cost me $25 for the filter   :(
