I want toe make a costum rear full floater axle and also a special front axle. Both have to be 26 splines to accept a rear sidekick diff. All the information about cutting splines can be usefull. Has anyone tried to resline an axle to 26 splines?

Axle cannot be resline. You got to made new custom axle shaft. I had a few custom ones made out of 4140 steel at a local machinist shop. Now I am trying to find a place to heat treat it.

I'm sure Currie, or Superior could make you some axles.

I can respline the axle that I have for the front. I know that an axle is heat-treated but if I’m lucky I can cut true it. Otherwise the shafts have to be chilled first.
I found someone who can help me with the heat treatment.

Probably currie or superior can help me, but because I am from Belgium those axles that they make would be too expensive.
