not sure how i broke the T-case.  kind weird one day i went to use it and it felt like it had oval gears and popped it's self out of 4WD.  I called Hawk and they said it has blown gear and/or busted out teeth.  when i went to change the gear oil, chunks of metal and tons of metal flakes were in the gear oil.
either way i need a new t-case.
sadly i'm buying the RRO 4.5 lift, calmini exaust combo, and rims before i fix the t-case a great benefit of living in So. California instead of Michigan, i don't NEED to fix it before winter, only when i need it.
i wonder though if the t-case broke from my Auto locking hubs?  maybe they didn't dis-engage or something last winter and the t-case still spun or something.
i dunno?  ???

I broke my front end and I'm not fixing that before winter... of course that's why the Tracker's parked behind the Bronco right now :(

Auto Hubs   :P

I don't think turning the case out
of 4WD would do any harm, I ran
for months like that with hubs locked,
the T-case lubes from the rotating gears

That ticking noise that you hear is your idle air bypass vavle, lets air in to adjust your idle and maybe some at running speed in high alt. look at your plug for timming there is a jumper to run codes, one jumper to time,a ground and a duty cycle meter hookup, that is to adjust your idle if needed be. the vavle has a bout a half inch hose running from the tube next to your air filter over to the valve on top of the engine under that little black steel plate that comes off, It has a couple of wires going to it on a plug also.

I have asked this question before because I have that infamous mystery ticking. I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. It doesn't really bother me anymore cause i'm used to it, But i hate when other people drive my kick and all I hear is tick tick tick.
