I have been reading some of the topics on here about coil spacer lift kits for trackick and noticed The mud child makes his kit with aluminum coil spacers and Jeff1997 makes plastic spacers. my question is what spacer is going to last longer and not wear away? Also how is it a 2 inch lift if you are using 1.5 inch spacers?

I dont know about the alum ones but the poly ones I have had, and seen last years without much issues. 

what is the best pair of shocks to use with the 2 inch lift?

the 1.5 inch on a 2 inch lift is only for the front, 1.5 will give you 2 inches, but both kits come with 2 inches for the rear.

and either one will work just fine. its all personal preference.

mid 90's crown vic or mid 90's (95) mustang. both rear shocks.

The plastic spacers probably lighter and less prone to corrosion, I don't know what aluminium MudChild uses but if its of good quality then any corrosion will be cosmetic. I doubt if either will wear away, the plastic Jeff uses is very hard and aluminium will work harden.

so stock crown vic shocks work with the lift. how about these doetsch tech shocks that are an option on the kit from ZOR?

they are better but the crown vic shocks are 15 bucks a shock... some people go with the higher end shocks ZOR sells, some go cheap. depends what you want to spend.

I don't have an endless budget, so crown Vic it is.

The coil spacers in my kit are made from billet aluminum. They will not corrode, they'll out last the vehicle. As far as wear they don't wear the coil spacer is machined to accept the stock rubber spring isolator as you can see in the picture. This will also make sure there are no squeaks or rattles.

You can easily install this kit in your driveway in 4-5 hours, or even quicker depending on how fast you work. There are no modifications that have to be done to install this kit. You will have to install camber adjusting bolts and get a front end alignment... but you have to do that with ant of the spacer lift kits available

Quite well bud, I removed the winch plate inset a receiver into it and added a couple tow points. Looks good on there. Good job on the build.
