Well, my g/f helped me buy my Tracker a few years ago, well before I tried taking out in the woods. Now that I have been out running through the trees with it, she's just worried that I will kill it. She did buy me a winch for my birthday though...

Ditto  And it used to be our daily driver

They seem to think it's OK, even the ones who have comments about big tires. ("Bigger the tires, smaller the anatomy" is one comment.) They make more sense than the low-rider 4x4's.

The usual 'Kick comments... "Cute car." "Makes you look like George Jetson." "Let's take *my* car." "That's OK, I used to drive a clunker, too." (The Kick is in excellent shape... the passenger door had squeaked.)

My current friend likes it... because it's the perfect rig for hauling the dogs & cruising to the beach.

Didnt direct that anyone in particular, it's just an observation after a few years reading zuk message boards.  A couple times a year some guy will come into a BBS and tell everyone that their wife has decided to leave or get a divorce or something and they had no idea it was coming.  That's OK, it happens.  



But when the guy's previous posts indicate that his life pretty much revolves around his garage or wheeling then spending huge amounts of time in his garage fixing the stuff he broke, then I just shake my head.  If you (meaning whomever) spent more time with your wife and less time in the garage, you'd know what your wife was thinking and feeling and maybe you could have dealt with whatever issue caused the divorce/separation/whatever before it got to that point.



Maybe I'm just trying to project my values onto other people, but I believe when you get married it means you shouldn't go on acting like you are single and have nothing but your own free time.  Getting married means making a commitment to another person and that generally entails paying attention to them, at least enough to have some clue about what they're thinking.



Again, I don't have any particular person in mind with this rant and I'm sure that every situation has some kind of special circumstances that someone thinks justify their actions, but the general principle holds true regardless of the circumstances.

My wifes great!!

She's willing to go with me and doen't comeplain about the money.  Of course I don't go wild getting parts.

When I started looking for a Tracker, I was looking "To old" and "Something that needed too much work".  So she told me to up the amount I was looking at and get something nice!!!!

So the next year I told here I was going to put $1000 into it (3" Calimini Suspention).  

"OK"

The third year I went to her and told her I was going nuts and was going to invest $5,000 plus... (joind a club with BIG Jeeps)

"OK"

This year "I'd like to get an Anvil, steal carier and rear bumper.

"Ok"

And we just got a new Motorhome and now am looking for a trailer so we can travel in style when we go wheeling.

I also have two girls 6 & 9.  Right now the Tracker is apart in the garage needing the front axil put back together.

My 6 year old is getting very upset with me.  She needs her Tracker fix.

i think u need to learn to use the word bigons...u have way to many oponions on other peoples lives and the way they should be run..just say bigons and let it pass
