Looks like the Napa's are too short as this happened after a few whoops - 5 minutes tops

Is this more likely to happen on uptravel or downtravel?  See earlier pictures

Could a broken strut cause this failure?

Also, I am trying to locate the part number to the cv axle shaft and am coming up blank so far

Any help if you know - thanks

On down travel.  Dropping a tire in a ditch, or stuffing the other side up climbing out.  When the CV is extended and has traction.

I dont know if it is a length or quality thing when it comes to the aftermarket (rebuilt) CV's. I do know that if you have done anything on your lift that allows it to drop further than just installing the strut spacer that you will have the over extending issue. So you dont trash another, when you get your replacement, peel back the boot after installing it and cycle your suspension with a floor jack/jack stands and see how if the bearings are hitting the retaining ring. If so, you may want to consider making a spacer out of one of your busted cv's by cutting the cup off and grinding it down to fit. This will give you another 1/2" or so.

Or install some limiting straps.

Funny but I was searching for your posts and sent you a PM

How long should the straps be?  4Wheel Parts has a set of 2 for $44 but there are multiple lengths and your length is tested so I want to go with it

Also, At what points did you mount them?  I want to make sure I don't cause myself more problems.  And again your mounts are tested

Thanks for all the help This Board has always been a wealth of information and help to me

I actually took the spacer out to try to avoid too much droop.  Because it is being done for no charge at an auto repair shop I can suggest they look but they aren't inspiring any confidence by not even noticing the broken strut.  I will be putting it up on jack stands to cycle the suspension as you suggested.  Even though the passenger side droops justs as much I am going to try to install limiting straps as BentParts has to try to save my Struts and CVs

Thanks again for your help I really appreciate all the support
