LOL, i am about to put the 16V from my tracker into the sidekick 8V, lol just to have the soft top. my wife thinks im a bit luny  but i think as long as i have the kik striped "harnes removed and motor out", I should be able to yank the motor and harnes out of the trak and plop it in the kik in a weekend. I think i will go and buy a manual for it first, should i get one for a 95 tracker, or for an 89 sidekick lol. or will it really matter. And were is a cheep place to get a stock rebuild kit for an 89 8V motor?
All things must start and end, the key is to not let them start and end in the same place.

Got a digicam? Take lots of photos of how it all is in the Tracker as you strip it then use them to help you reassemble it in the Sidekick. The wiring is all colour coded but check that the wire colours are the same where harnesses are joined by connectors. Write down any differences. Then post up all the info you have amassed.

well we will see if replacing the head gasket works, if it dont run as good as the 16v then i will do the swap, however if it runns just as good then i will not be doing the swap!
