OK - Who was it ---
« on: November 19, 2003, 11:57:54 AM »
The guy who said to clean the carburetor and the other guy who said to use "Seafoam" stuff ??

Thanks a bunch --- this thing runs great now. Used a can of Carb. cleaner on the outside and where I could see - then put that Seafoam in the tank and down the carb. -- It took about the whole tank of gas to get the full affect but it did the trick. Hell I had to turn down the ideal !!!    Anyway -- thanks    Mac0

I was one of them! also if it is a stock samurai you might want to check out the stock down pipe coming out of the exhaust manifold they are a double walled pipe and they collapse to the size of your pinky on the inside, you can tell if it is the stock one by looking at the top part of it  by the collar with the springs, it will neck down in size by it. ltr. Between the Exhaust Manifold and the Cat, that's the down pipe.

Ohhhh - ok .  I was thinking of something else.  I think that pipe should be fine - it had a new system put on it not to long ago .  Thanks anyway though.

  It cleans crud !!!!

I added it to the gas tank and ran almost the full tank through it. Also opened the aircleaner while it was running - reaved it up a bit and slowly poored some down it. Right at the end I dumped a bunch and choked the engine off. Let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes and started it up. Blue smoke all over . Before I did this it would not ideal worht a darn - now I had to back it down. I also put some in the crank case and will change that today. On the dip stick you sure can tell that it got a lot dirtier -- fast --
