Is the money you SPEND doing the bolt pattern swap going to be worth the money you will SAVE on the price of 5x114 wheels?
First, I think your pattern swap will cost more than $200. Second, most wheel/tire combo's are more than a grand - are they not? When I bought my 15's for my civic they were $1100...when I upgraded to 17's they were about the same...
It just doesn't seem like it's worth the effort for the money you'll save, if you do.

thats a pretty good question
and the answer is YES!

I want to do it because Im particular when it comes to my rims.

I can probably find 18s (5x114, rims/tires) THAT I LIKE for under $800
I can never find 18s (5x139) THAT I LIKE for less than $1400
plus 5x139 rims are generally HEAVY

btw... I just picked up 17" Rims/Tires (5x114) for $200
which Ill probably pass on to one of my friends.
they look like this

So you never know WHAT one can find if one is willing to be patient.

  • Tires so low looks like i'm riding on blades
I think the point you missing i'm trying to get across is with spacers its added stress on the original studs. plus any wheel with the correct offeset is going to be a front wheel drive wheel that most likey is not rated for your car. and last but not least i run 8.5 wide i can run a 255 wide tire with not rubbing dropped 3 inchs. by the time you add spacers and find a rim that will tuck it in the car you going to be at most 7 inch wide. maybe you can fit a 225 tops. and it's 5x114.3 not 5x114. or 5x4.5

its also 5x139.7 (which I know is 5x5.5)
but sometimes I get lazy and leave the decimals out (for kicks minds you)

anywho,  I see what youre saying
and Im trying my hardest NOT to run spacers

I also see that you seem to be pretty good with this sort of thing

What would you do (to TRULY) adapt a 5x114.3 rim to a Geo Tracker
